Amazing place and the best surf coach I have ever met! 5 stars well deserved
Moknari is the place to be when you want to experience the real morocan way of life. You arrive as a guest and leave as a family member. Hicham and his family are amazing people who do everything to make you feel at home right from the beginning. Hicham is the perfect surf teacher. Patient and motivating he gets never tired of supporting and coaching you in the water. I can highly recommend taking lessons with him and staying with his family. I see you next year <3
A dream come true! Hicham is redefining the experience of travelling and hosting, never afraid of any effort to please you, you are lucky to have him in your nearness and he will change your mindset on who is helping who (Europe vs Africa ;-) Thank you my friend and this review comes from my heart!!
Our two nights with Hicham and his family were our favourite In Morocco. Fantastic food, hospitality and friendship. Uncrowded waves, beautiful stars and great company. Cannot wait to visit again and for much longer. Thank you Hicham and your kind family
Hicham welcomed me with open arms in his village and beautiful family! Beautiful beach 1 minute away from the village with a cool surf spot just for you, within a few minutes drive from various spots for every level and the best surf teacher of the whole coast! If you want the real berber experience, look no more and email Hicham!
A magical place where one week turns into two weeks turns into three weeks and before you know it you start calling it home. Hicham and his family are wonderful hosts. Moknari is one minute walking away from a beautiful beach with great waves which you learn to ride pretty fast as Hicham is a great surfteacher. If you want to live slow and down to earth, this is your home. Thank you all so much and save me a bed for next year! ❤️
Wonderful family to create memories with. Surfing 🏄♀️ 👌🏻Missing all already x
We stayed with Hicham and his family for three nights and it was 3 best in Morocco! He was very helpful not only during our stay but also before and after. Till now we can't stop thinking about this time. It was really magic adventure, everybody in his village was extremely nice and hospitable. We couldn't expect more, really! We are very thankful for everything we receive there. To be honest, we were almost crying while saying goodbye despite the fact it was only 3 days. Surely we will come back! Thank You so much!
If you are a traveller and actually want to experience the real Marocco, look no more! Thanks to Hicham we experienced the berber authentic cousine, culture (we even we so fortunate to attend a traditional berber wedding! Wow!) and people, who were ever so kind and hostile! No amount of time spent by backpacing in Morocco will give you this experience! Will come again!
Staying with Hicham and his family in their little village was truly an amazing experience. When I arrived in Agadir, he was kind enough to pick me up at the bus station. He treated me for a snack in Agadir before we drove to his village. Hicham and all the people in the village were all very friendly and welcoming. Staying in the same house where his family lives, eating the local food, and just doing the same stuff as what his family is doing, I really get to experience the local way of life, which is really a wonderful and enriching experience. In the afternoons, we would go to the beach where his family would play cards or go fishing while the children would play football. We would then share a meal of bread and tagine. I especially enjoyed playing board games like Perudo and Rummikub during the evenings. I slept in a room in his house, but on my last night I slept in a hut by the sea which was really nice and relaxing. During my stay with him, Hicham taught me how to surf, and although I don't do any sport, I enjoyed it because he is a very good teacher. We also went for a hike to see the incredible paradise valley, a beautiful lagoon with emerald green waters nestled between rock formations and surrounded by palm trees. It was a very memorable place not only because of its beauty, but also because I get to try cliff jumping and most importantly, because on our way home, the car we were driving had one of its tire burst. We had to drive for a few kilometers with a flat tire and wait for a few more hours to have the tire fixed. On my last day with Hicham, he showed me around Agadir city and took me to the top of the mountain overlooking the whole city. Although I’ve only stayed with Hicham for a few days, you will feel that you are not just another tourist but most especially a part of the family. (P.S. Thank you very much Khoya for letting me experience all of this. It was a really wonderful experience. Sorry if it took me a while to write this review. I truly hope to see you again next time and hopefully I would finally learn how to surf during that time! Good luck and all the best!)
It's an awesome experience. Hicham and his family are very warming and loving. It's the total inmersion on the Magrebi and Berber culture sharing in the family village. Amazing stories, delicious food and the best surfing lessons plus trips to see the desert, paradise valley and others. Total disconnection from the world. Enriching experience.
